What is the Veterans Pension w/ Aid and Attendance benefit program?
Veterans Pension with Aid and Attendance helps veterans, their spouses, and surviving spouse who no longer can live independently. It is for those who need help with bathing, dressing, transferring, eating, and toileting. For in-home care, assisted living homes, or community.
The 2020 benefits are up to $2,230 per month for a Married Veteran, $1,912 per month for a Single Veteran and for a Surviving Spouse up to $1,128 per month.
A veteran where their spouse needs care but the veteran is not healthy enough to be the caregiver the benefit is $1,499 per month.
